Gene Context Tool NG is a web application which objective is to provide the scientific community with a useful, simple and accessible tool to visualize the genomic context of a gene or a group of genes and their orthologous relationships within fully sequenced bacterial genomes.
Input Options. GCT NG supports one ore more common databases identifiers, protein names, text description. Separated by spaces, tab, coma or newlines; by default the application will query each separated id|word|term (like an OR logical operator), allowing this way to enter a list of ids, common names, etc.
Following, a brief example of the supported entries:
Boolean expressions. It is possible to query our database using common logical operators AND, OR, NOT and parentheses, to override boolean precedence rules, as well as use single or double quotes to join separated terms (be sure to select boolean expression option to use this kind of input!).
